There are many types of accommodation
that seek to be labeled under the umbrella of 'villa' which is a
very popular form of accommodation in Bali. Staying at a villa in
Bali could give you accommodation varing from a primitive free standing
2-star hut to a luxurious million dollar private establishment fit
for kings and queens. It is very difficult to grade Villas as they
do not come under the standard star ratings as hotels do.
To ensure you find the villa you are looking for we have categorised
the villas on to types which best describe their form of accommodation
as well as providing lots of photos so you can visualise the type
and standard of accommodation you will be staying at.
These villas are found on hotel resort properties. Usually they
are kept private by walls around a tiny private garden, several
with a plunge pool – protect you from public view. In most
cases standard hotel services are provided.
The advantage of staying at a Hotel Villa is you get the use of
the hotel 's facilites including restaurants, pool, business centre
etc. and have the security of a reputable hotel resort. The disadvantage
is the prices are usually higher then that of a villa, you do get
total peace and privacy and do not receive the pampering of a real
garden, spacious living and houshold staff that cater to your every
need.
A villa resort does not have a hotel section
but provides a group of private, usually free standing villas around
a central service areas. Villa resorts can vary from 5-6 villas
up to 80-100 villas providing a peaceful private villa with still
the social atmosphere and sharing of main facilities as found in
most hotels. There is a strong sense of service and security and
the management are at your service to provide you with the best
vacation of your life.
A private villa is usually a free standing villa
on it's own property where you enjoy the comforts of a beautiful
private villa with air-conditioned bedrooms and tropical bathrooms,
spacious living and dining areas and spacious terraces, usually
with a lush tropical garden and your own private swimming pool.
Most Private Villas are further from the hustle
and buslte of the tourist centres and give you a backdrop of natural
surroundings or the beautiful ocean. Private Villas vary greatly
in price and standard, and basically you get what you pay for so
please take your time when deciding which private villa to stay
at in Bali.
Luxury villas can be free standing villas on
private properties or can me a group of elegant villas that would
be considered 5 star, 6 star plus! All luxury villas would provide
you with the comforts of oepn Balinese living in the privacy of
your own tropical home ith tropical gardens and swimming pools and
plunge pools. The management endeavor to pamper you with personal
24 hour hospitality and service that cannot be found in the best
of hotels, and most luxury villas will provide you with a well-trained
house staff consisting of cooks, maids, house boys, masseuses, laundress,
gardeners, night guards, drivers etc.
Villa Bungalows are budget orientated so called
'villas' which provide you with value for money, and a n alternative
to the standard hotel. Most are Balinese styled, with 2-3 star facilities
usually including a kitchenette and lounge area. There is a reasonable
amount of privacy, the staff are usually friendlier and more personal
then what you would find in a hotel.
These are villas we have found difficuly to categorise
within the other villa types. This does not mean these villas are
no less popular or comfortable as villas found in the other categories,
but because of their uniqueness we have placed them under 'other
villas'.
