Just five minutes from the art community of Ubud in Central Bali, Amandari Bali is perched on an escarpment high above the winding Ayung River Gorge, with rice terraces in its foreground. It has the look of a Balinese village, with river stone walkways lined with stone statues, gardens and paras stone walls. Eleven suites come with private pools, and every suite is in a garden setting. With marble floors, a sunken bath and wall sized sliding glass doors, you are always at peace with the environment.

Amandari is perched on an escarpment high above the Ayung River gorge, only five minutes from the art centre of Ubud. Designed as a walled Balinese village of 30 suites, with an additional three bedroom villa, the resort offers spectacular views of the river valley and terraced rice fields. Amandari or “peaceful spirits” reflects all the tranquillity, art and culture of Bali’s hill country

The Restaurant, open to the breezes and crafted largely of teak wood, overlooks Amandari's swimming pool and the gorge. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and specialises in Western and local Indonesian dishes. The Bar, with its terrace seating, features a wide selection of drinks. Swimming Pool: Amandari’s signature 32m green-tiled swimming pool, lying close to the lip of the gorge, flows with a feeling of old Bali.

Terrace/Village Suites: Each suite features a large combined bedroom and living room with all facilities, including a bar, music system and an outdoor sunken marble bath. There are twin vanities and dressing areas with separate shower and toilet rooms all with Javanese marble flooring.

Duplex/Valley Suites: Identical in size to the Terrace Suites, Duplex Suites feature a bedroom and queen-sized bed on a mezzanine level. This offers far more space on the ground floor.

Pool Terrace Suite: These are identical to the Terrace Suites but feature a private pool. Some have the pool immediately in front overlooking the Ayung Gorge while others look over paddy fields.

Pool Duplex Suite: These are the same as a Duplex Suite with the addition of a private pool.

Asmara and Ayung Suite: Both of these are Duplex Suites with private swimming pools and sweeping views of the nearby rice terraces and valley.

Amandari Suite: This suite offers one or two detached bedrooms along with a separate living room pavilion. There is also a private swimming pool and an outdoor bale of teak and bamboo with outstanding views of the Ayung Gorge.

Amandari Villa: Nestled in rice terraces by the resort, the villa includes five pavilions – three detached, terrace-style bedrooms, a separate living room walled entirely with windows, and a fully fitted kitchen. A garden and landscaped deck embrace the two-tiered swimming pool. The villa is less than a minute’s drive from Amandari and a vehicle is on call.

Library: A broad selection of books, newspapers, CDs and games is available in the library. The Library also offers Internet and e-mail access. Gift Shop and Gallery: A wide variety of Indonesian handicrafts, including baskets, silk, pottery and silverware, are available.
Spa and Gym: Amandari’s health and fitness centre has been fitted with a fully equipped cardiovascular gym, offering wide-window views of the surrounding lotus pond. There is a Spa with beauty treatments, sauna and steam rooms, shower and change rooms and outdoor massage bales overlooking the pond.
Tennis: The hard court is floodlit for night play. Balls, rackets and tennis shoes are complimentary. Playing partners can also be arranged.
